Unfortunately, many vital services like prenatal education, postpartum support, maternal mental health therapy, lactation services and pelvic floor physical therapy can be costly and may not be covered by insurance. Hold the Mother makes these necessary services accessible to women who may not be able to afford the cost.

Through our funding we offer full or partial scholarships to mothers in need for the following services:

  • Prenatal Education Classes

  • Expecting & Empowered (prenatal support and community classes)

  • Lactation & Infant Feeding Support Services

  • Fourth Trimester Support Circle

  • Perinatal Depression and Anxiety Support Group

  • Postpartum Doulas

  • Reiki Healing Sessions

FAQs

Where are the services provided? Can I apply if I live out of New York?

Currently you must be a resident of New York state to apply for grants of financial assistance to receive in person services. Our service providers work on Long Island and there are also services provided virtually.

How are the funds distributed?

Funds will be sent directly to the recipient’s service provider.

How many grants are awarded per year?

The number of grants awarded is dependent on fundraising. Not everyone who applies will be awarded a grant.

Who chooses grant recipients?

Hold the Mother Foundation’s Board of Directors review all completed grant applications.
